This is the level art and layout of the Thebes surrounding region. It’s an agricultural region, I populated it with procedural tools, terrain and propping. This includes the canals, small rest and work camps, and places around the fields, the irrigation, vegetation and other.
This was a process of creating a variety of themes to make the outskirts of the city interesting. The irrigation systems go on from the two branches, one from the Nile and the other from the stream, but slowly fade as they get to the back of the city. The fields are engulfing the city itself, as the people take every piece of fertile land they can. A larger farm lays in the middle of the most fertile and alive part of the fields encompassed with canals and irrigation structures.
