Fields Thebes Outskirts pt.2 - ACO Curse of the Pharaohs

This is the level art and layout of the Thebes surrounding region. It’s an agricultural region, I populated it with procedural tools, terrain and propping. This includes the canals, small rest and work camps, and places around the fields, the irrigation, vegetation and other.

Creating this area was a fun process, as I had to create some interesting infrastructure with canals and irrigation constructions to correspond in quality and feeling to the front part of the region that was near the river. The issue was an irrigation system that far from the Nile would not be believable, so I made an interesting contraption so that people would use the nearby stream (that I also made) to gather and fuel a separate branch of the elaborate irrigation of the region.
