Assassin's Creed Shadows - Burned Trees

One of the tasks I had on Assassin's Creed Shadows, was to create a burned trees kit.
This was incredibly fun and rewarding, mainly because I could work with our brand new virtualized geometry tech, allowing
the assets to be very high poly.
I like , that I had full control of the asset visual. I created its textures for the burned , singed etc. Mixed materials.
For this and a few other high poly assets I also created some tools in Houdini to allow me to bring large amounts of detail
non destructively , iterate fast , and not worry about adjusting complex meshes.
Tools like , scattering of small pieces of gemetry on painted areas, extrusion of bark , root creator and others.

I was lucky enough to work with incredibly professional teams.
This game is a huge collective effort.
