Assassin's Creed Shadows - Bonsai

For Assassin's Creed Shadows, I worked on a variety of assets.
One of my favorite ones was this Bonsai for a cinematic/quest.
It had to have three versions to fit into the quest , intact, broken and mended version.
To get a huge quality boost , I combined two techniques.
The bark parts, are using our brand new virtualized geometry pipeline. Allowing for huge amount of geometrical detail.
This was combined with standard opacity cards for the leafs.
This gave me huge artistic freedom, and specifically for Bonsai with their super interesting forms , it was perfect.

I was lucky enough to work with incredibly professional teams.
This game is a huge collective effort.
