Maple trees , One of my tasks was to finish and add Maple trees to the kit.
Some of the Maples were already in a pretty good shape, I had to take them over from another vegetation artist.
I also added a few to the mix , some young trees to fill in the procedural rules.
Most notably the hero Maple tree.
That one was super fun to work with. This super gigantic Maple.
I had alot of artistic freedom with it , as long as it looks super epic.
I worked on huge mostly handmade Branches and forms in SpeedTree.
On top I decided to add a shell , to the tree - allowing me to use vt geometry , and boost the detail
alot , added roots , and GPU scatterred moss, plants , leafs and all of the sort.
It also game the oportunity to create some photogrammetry pieces that I used on barks of all Maples to boost their detail.
I also made the textures for the bark of the maples.
I was lucky enough to work with incredibly professional teams.
This game is a huge collective effort.
