Biomes in the open world - ACO: The Curse of the Pharaohs

Some of my work on the AC Origins Curse of the Pharaohs was to form the terrain of the various biomes of the world outside of locations. I worked in conjunction with our procedural artist Pavel Kalinov, who worked on the procedural scatter for vegetation and cliffs that was tied up and dependent on the terrain forms.
The process was interesting and varied, as we had a lot of unique biomes crammed into a relatively small world. They had to look and feel interesting but also have natural blending, something that in nature would happen over hundreds of kilometers.
